The Winter Music Conference might be located in Miami, but I daresay that over the past few years, Las Vegas has become the undisputed capitol of the electronic dance music movement (better known as EDM).  And considering that Steve Wynn likes all aspects of his properties to offer his guests the very best, the music offerings at his Las Vegas venues are – you guessed it – the best.

This year, over the course of the Memorial Day Weekend, at the dancing/sunbathing/clubbing outposts of Wynn Las Vegas and EncoreEncore Beach Club, Surrender, Tryst, and XS – you can strip-down to your board-shorts or strap-on your Brian Atwood heels and boogie-oogie-oogie to the now-sounds of such EDM maestros as David Guetta, Porter Robinson, Afrojack, Steve Angello, Above & Beyond, and AVICII.

And to top things off, literally, Wynn Social has partnered with EDM’s number one brand, Electric Family (a line that donates 10% of all proceeds to Feeding America), to produce an exclusive line of Memorial Day Weekend commemorative DJ hats.  Want one?  Then make sure you’re in the crowd when your favorite DJ throws his signature lids from the decks.  Is hearing Dirty South all that and a bowl of grits to you?  Then swim over to the booth at Encore Beach Club, on Friday afternoon.  Do you look at Porter Robinson and think he’s the bee’s knees?  Then you’d better make like Ice Cube at Surrender on Saturday night, and “chickety-check yo’ self before you wreck yo’ self.”

But whatever you do, just remember the words of Public Enemy, when you get up, get, get, get down, ‘cause EDM ain’t a joke in this town.
