In an effort to maintain our cool in this hot, hot, heat, Summerlin fave Vintner Grill has built a stage (in the back of their patio amongst the cabanas), upon which they will be featuring performances by live musicians each Saturday night, this summer.

Keeping things cool AND fresh, several musicians will be featured, on a rotating basis, with most featuring what VG has described as a “contemporary acoustic vibe.”  I have no idea what this means, but I’m told that the performers will be sprinkling some of their original material amongst a vast repertoire of popular songs that the patrons are sure to know.

Kicking things off, this Saturday, is Jason Feddy – an Englishman by way of Laguna, with a rich and emotive voice.  Feddy cuts a wide swath through the popular songbook, playing everything from the blues to rock, dating from today back to the ‘70s (think: The Beatles, Elton John, John Mayer, Coldplay, etc.).

Additionally, Vintner Grill has just launched a new Specialty Drink Menu, full of tasty cocktails that provide the perfect means by which you can quench your thirst in the dry and dusty desert.  Case in point: the “High West” – a delicious concoction of High West Rendezvous Rye Whiskey, Crème de Cassis liqueur, fresh blackberries and basil, with a splash of soda, served on the rocks.  That ought to put a hitch in your giddy-up!
