Three philanthropic events in 48 hours is a lot for anyone.  Throw-in a sick spouse who requires a lot of nursing, plus the requisite trips to the pharmacy and grocery store and deli on behalf of said spouse, and it’s enough to drive a man to pull out the hair his father had bought him a half-dozen years prior (I call it my “Chanukah Hair”).

So, today’s post will feature photos from the trio of events.  Thursday night was the party benefiting the Greater Las Vegas After-School All-Stars that was thrown by VOGUE to celebrate the opening of the new UGG concept-store at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.  At the same time, on the other side of the Strip and across Flamingo Road at Paris Las Vegas, was the Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada’s Festival of Trees and Lights.  Then, on Saturday evening, down in Henderson, Congregation Ner Tamid was recognizing their 2010 Women of Valor – Selma Bartlett, Lisa Henry, and Janis Rounds.

Between you and me, I’m not thrilled with the way I look in white orthopedic shoes, but I do rather enjoy the fun we have with the Aneroid Sphygmomanometer.  (That’s a blood pressure cuff, in case you were wondering…)
