Three Performances, Two Clubs, One Property… Hit it!

One of the great things about Las Vegas is the entertainment. And if you time things juuuuuust right, you can bounce from one event to the next with none of that annoying lag-time. So it looks to be, this weekend, when Light Group presents a trio of live performances at The Mirage.

“Rock the party and clear all the madness” on Saturday night, when hip-hop pioneers Public Enemy tear things up at JET Nightclub at The Mirage. College chums Carlton Douglas Ridenhour and William Jonathan Drayton, Jr. (aka Chuck D and Flavor Flav) are gonna tear things up and fight the powers that be by getting down to business. In the immortal words of Flav, "Yeah, Boi!"

Ultra Naté

The next night (Sunday), that high-octane honey of House music, Ultra Naté, will have all the boys, girls, and girly-boys shaking their money-makers at The Beatles REVOLUTION Lounge at The Mirage, for Eduardo Cordova’s “Closet Sundays” party. And while Ultra has recorded some of House’s seminal covers (Ashford & Simpson’s “Found a Cure” and Pretenders’ “Brass in Pocket” as well as “Automatic” by the Pointer Sisters), even some of the senior night-dwellers will get off their duffs, when her 1997 hit “Free” is played; “teaching” the new children. Werk! (*snap*)

Nelly

Later that night, down the hall at JET Nightclub, Nelly, the Band-Aid wearing Grammy-winning singer/actor/fashionista (he founded Oprah-fave Apple Bottoms, y’all) will have the club bouncing with Independence. You’ll wanna take your clothes off, ‘cause with nothin’ up sleeve, no teasin’, it’s gonna be getting hot in therre (sic). And if things work-out right, he might just perform some of the tracks from his upcoming Nelly 5.0 album, so-called not just because it's his fifth album, but also for his love of the Mustang 5.0 (he really likes that car!).
