When Jacob and I received an invitation from Noey Richardson to join her and her best gal-pals for a birthday get-together at one of her favorite restaurants, I was somewhat taken aback to read that it was Nittaya’s Secret Kitchen, this little joint, located somewhere between Tournament Hills and North Las Vegas.  But, I guess that’s the secret – that such tasty victuals would be served at a place about which I knew nothing.

In between drinks, introductions, giggles, more drinks, gifts, gossip, and a few more drinks, our table (which ran the entire length of the dining room) let loose repeated shrieks, gasps, and squeals of glee with each new selection of Thai tapas that came our way.

Among the items that blew me away were the Crab Wonton (with cream cheese, celery, Thai spices, and sweet plum sauce), the Grilled Mango Shrimp (bacon-wrapped shrimp, with spicy mango sauce), the Angel Wing (with ground chicken, glass noodles, and Thai spices), and the Esaan Sausage (homemade pork sausage).

I know that it’s a teensy bit of a schlep for many of you, but look at the drive as an adventure, and soon you’ll find yourself “over-the-river-and-through-the-woods” at Nittaya’s Secret Kitchen!
