Join me, this Wednesday, September 15th, for una fiesta fiera to celebrate Mexican Independence Day at Tacos & Tequila at Luxor!
I know, when you think “Shulman,” your natural reaction is to think “Mexico” (and well you should). But, even if this isn’t the case, I’m sure you’ll agree that little gets between me and a great meal – and when some fun, fabulous (and decidedly unique) entertainment is involved; well, let’s just say that I’m all pressed-up into it.

You see, way back in 1810, in the small Mexican town of Dolores, a Roman Catholic priest by the name of Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla made an impassioned call to his fellow countrymen, urging them to revolt against the Spanish colonial government. And thus the Grito de Dolores (“Cry of Dolores”) became the call-to-arms for the Mexican War of Independence.

Now, Las Vegans are invited to celebrate Padre Miguel and the bicentennial of his battle-cry as T&T promises to Rock Your Mundo from 7-11pm! In addition to the always sublime food of Chef Richard Sandoval (sirloin soft tacos with fresh lime – yum!), there will be an Elvis Look-Alike Contest with $1,000 in cash and prizes, as well as the crowning of El Rey de los Elvi. Joining me on the judging panel will be the stunning and vivacious new star of FANTASY, Lorena Peril, as well as T&T’s own Mariachi Elvis; who will himself be performing in the debut the Farrah Hines-choreographed “Viva T&T!” alongside The Sexy Elissa and Hector the House Rooster.
