I was intrigued when I first heard that the retail operations at SLS Las Vegas would be comprised of a collective of different store-fronts around the property, all under the banner of famed Los Angeles style emporium, Fred Segal.  This “Fred Segal Collective” includes a sextet of shops – SHE, HE, SHOES, JEANS, GOODS, and X <3 O (verbalize as "ex heart oh") operated by Marshall Retail Group; as well as JEWELS, operated by The Jewelers of Las Vegas. 

When asked about the pairing, between Fred Segal and SLS Las Vegas, Jared Rapier (VP of Brand, SBE) told me “…this partnership is a groundbreaking collaboration between two brands whose DNA is synonymous worldwide with Los Angeles’ distinctive style and culture.” 

Simply put, the idea is to provide guests with a shopping experience that represents L.A. cool with a Las Vegas flair; and with the focus being more about the look than the price, the price points run the gamut from a cool graphic-tee priced at $60, to a fierce cocktail dress ringing the registers at $1,800. 

Fred Segal HE features such collections as Billy Reid, Zanerobe, Moods of Norway, Band of Outsiders, Sand, Shades of Grey, Mr Nieves, The Kooples, and Costume National; while customers at Fred Segal SHE will find collections from Jonathan Simkhai, RtA, Nightcap Clothing, and Lovers + Friends.  Furthermore, HE and SHE share the Las Vegas exclusive for Y3 by Yoshi Yamamoto. 

Due to the importance of the Vegas Dayclub scene, there’s gonna be a heavy focus on swimwear, at Fred Segal JEANS; in addition to featuring bestselling denim lines Frame and Fidelity, as well as fun graphic tees from Wildfox and Eleven Paris, and lush basics from Cotton Citizen.

For those who know that any great look is built from the bottom up, Fred Segal SHOES is featuring designs by Jerome Russo, Stuart Weitzman, Diane von Furstenberg, and Rachel Zoe, topping-out with a pair of 5” gold python and suede heels by Aquazzura selling for $1,335. 

Fred Segal GOODS is pretty much everything you could want from a sleek and upscale resort-based sundries shop that delves into home goods and fun gift ideas as well as those salves, balms and lotions that make us all so pretty, here in the desert.

And over at Fred Segal X <3 O, you'll find everything for those who feel that the most intimate of sweets with their respective (or multiple) sweeties, are best kept en suite.
