This Saturday, February 21st, Nevada Ballet Theatre’s co-Founder, Nancy Houssels, will be fêted at a gala celebration, at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, and the line-up alone is worth applauding. 

This sensational evening, billed as Dance Among the Stars (and underwritten by the Elaine P. Wynn Foundation) will include a wide array of entertainment, from one of the most beloved examples of classical ballet, to urban street dancing, and even a World Premiere collaboration between the Ballet and a popular Las Vegas headliner. 

Among the evening’s performances will be:

◦ The Smith Center debut of internationally celebrated street-dancer, Lil Buck; performing his acclaimed rendition of “The Swan” (from Camille Saint-SaensCarnival of the Animals)

◦ Las Vegas headliner Frankie Moreno, in the world-premiere of his collaboration with Nevada Ballet Theatre, choreographed by NBT Artistic Director, James Canfield

◦ Performances by guest artists from Pacific Northwest Ballet and American Ballet Theatre

◦ Excerpts from Swan Lake: Act II performed by Nevada Ballet Theatre

“We are delighted to present a beautiful evening of dance in celebration of NBT’s co-Founder and Board co-Chair, Nancy Houssels; a true Las Vegas luminary, philanthropist and trailblazer,” said NBT Executive Director/CEO Beth Barbre, who considers Houssels “one of our city’s greatest treasures.”
