Are you staying in Las Vegas for Thanksgiving, and have interest neither in spending a couple of days sweating over a hot stove nor in cleaning up, afterward?  Well, fortunately for you, many of Las Vegas’s finest culinary destinations are offering unique twists on the traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

One excellent example is Mott 32, the acclaimed Hong Kong-based authentic Chinese restaurant (known for its Cantonese and Sichuan fare with Beijing influences), that’s opened its first US outpost at The Venetian Resort.  There—perhaps seated at a table converted from an antique roulette wheel, or under a chandelier strewn with an ostrich feather boa—you can enjoy a special five-course Thanksgiving menu that’ll be available exclusively to diners on Thursday, November 28.  Priced at $108 per person, this Thanksgiving menu with Sino-gastronomic flair is also available with wines paired to each course for an additional $58 per person.

So, what’s included?  I’m so glad you asked…

First Course
Crystal King Crab, Prawns, and Edamame Dumpling
Wine Pairing:  Domaine Larocha, Chablis (2014)

Second Course
Scallop Pumpkin Soup
Wine Pairing:  Château Thivin, Côte de Brouilly, Beaujolais (2017)

Third Course
Black Pepper M6 Wagyu Sirloin with Shanghainese Pork Belly, and Baby Bok Choy
Wine Pairing:  Château Malmaison, Moulise-en-Médoc, Bordeaux (2011)

Fourth Course
Grilled Black Cod with Yuzo Miso
Wine Pairing:  Domaine Le Sang des Cailloux, Vacqueryras, (2017)

Dessert
Chinese Five-Spice Pecan Tart
Wine Pairing: Château Romieu-Lacoste, Sauternes (2015)

But wait: There’s more!  Should you be thinking what’s the point in going to a celebrated Chinese restaurant and not biting into some of the award-winning signature dishes for which they are renowned, I’m with you.  So too are the folks at Mott 32, who invite you to round-out your meal with some of the restaurant’s favorites, including the Applewood-Roasted 42-Days Peking Duck “Signature Mott 32 Cut” (for $108), and the absurdly tender Signature 36-Month Acorn-Fed Barbeque Pluma Ibérico Pork ($42).

But don’t forget to call ahead, because these add-ons are subject to availability, and must be ordered at least 24 hours in advance (i.e., no later than Wednesday, November 27).
