Starting next month, Wynn Las Vegas is launching the Wynn Master Class Series – a clever curation of interactive tutorials and workshops; where you, whether a Wynn guest or a visitor, are invited to go behind the velvet ropes, become inspired, and learn from the experts – in this case, the master chefs, sommeliers, mixologists, artisans, and stylists who lend their expertise to all areas of the resort, including food & beverage, entertainment, art, gaming, salon & spa, and more. 

The first quintet of Master Classes will allow you to learn how to blend your own varietal, gain insights for appearing on a red carpet, assemble a nightclub playlist, craft handmade pasta, and create your own at-home mixology program.  Here’s the skinny…

Thursday, April 6th:  Pasta, Frank’s Way – Sinatra at Encore – 11:30am ($125/person)
Theo Schoenegger (Executive Chef, Sinatra) and AJ Lambert (the Chairman’s granddaughter) team up for this interactive workshop to teach you simple techniques on preparing hand-crafted pasta, Frank’s way.  You’ll enjoy a three-course lunch, receive recipe cards and a keepsake gift, and even get a certificate of completion to show your friends and family.  Luck be a pasta, tonight!

Friday, April 21st:  Vintner for a Day – Lakeside at Wynn – 3pm ($125/person)
Mark Thomas (Executive Director of Wine, Wynn Las Vegas) will join Joseph Spellman (Master sommelier, Justin Vineyards) to teach guests how to replicate the flavor of Justin’s world-famous Isosceles Paso Robles, by blending the vineyard’s Cabernet Sauvignon with their Cabernet Franc and Merlot, in a very relaxed atmosphere.  After the blending, Thomas and Spellman will judge the resulting varietals, bestowing a special gift upon the one they deem best.  In addition to tasting a bunch of wine and noshing on savory snacks, you’ll receive a keepsake bottle and a vintner certificate.

Thursday May 4th:  Spin with a Star DJ – Intrigue at Wynn – 8pm ($150/person)
DJ Clutch (Resident, Wynn Nightlife) is gonna show you what goes into producing a world-class nightclub experience, from the DJ booth.  Students will learn how to work the sound and lighting boards, jazz-up a playlist, and work the crowd – culminating in the recording of their own five-minute DJ set.  In addition to the class, students are given an exclusive tour of Intrigue, and access to the club’s private, invitation-only enclave, The Living Room (aka my favorite club in Vegas, both as a guest and as a DJ), for a hands-on personal DJ experience; and will go home with nightlife merchandise, a DJ certificate, a keepsake photo, and a flash-drive containing the recording of their personal DJ set. 

Friday, May 12th:  Mastering Your Most Flattering Selfie – The Claude Baruk Salon at Encore – 3pm ($150/person)
Celebrity-stylist, Claude Baruk will be joined by his team of stylists and artistes, from his salon at Encore, where they will lead this exclusive workshop, giving you hands-on tutorials to make the most of your photos.  Sip on Champagne, as you practice Claude’s signature techniques and DIY tips, for red carpet hair, blowouts, make-up, up-dos, and more; so that you can recreate it all, at home, or on the go.

Friday, June 9th:  Mixology 2.0 – Andrea’s at Encore – 2pm ($125/person)
Damian Cross (Master Mixologist, Wynn Las Vegas) is going to personally give students a lesson in how to craft classic cocktails, giving insight into the mixological arts, as well as a mastery of bar tools and techniques.  After getting your bartending skills up to snuff, Cross will delve into a history of bar culture, classic spirits and liqueurs, unique garnishes and syrups.
