In his song, “Summer Sun” recording artist Jimmy James sings “Let’s have a drink by the pool.  Here there are no rules.  It’s just the way we feel, on a sunny day, under the summer sun.”  It’s all rather idyllic, no?

Well, it seems that someone at bebe was tapping her Charissa Print-Scarf Wedge Sandal, under her desk, and - humming along to Jimmy’s dreamy lyrics - was inspired to get on the horn to her peeps at RUMOR Boutique Resort.  Their mission: a “Splash into Summer” Boutique-styled Pool Party.

So, this Saturday, they're doing just that; to which end, they’ve asked me to provide the music.  And what do I have in my aural quiver?  Well, I don’t think it’d be letting too much out of the bag, by telling you that I’m feeling very Gil Scott-Heron and Jessie J on a collision course with Blondie sprinkled with the merest whisper of Karmin.

Get there early (just après lunch – or better still, grab a Cuban Reuben at Addiction), and take part in the complimentary cocktails, or swing by later and ride the musical wave until dinner.

And what about Jimmy James (who describes the ambiance of such affairs to “a feeling…like walking on air.”)?  He’s coming to town for my birthday bash.  But more about that, next week...  Meanwhile, I’ll see y’all, poolside on Saturday!
