As we celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Nevada Ballet Theatre, in its debut performance at The Smith Center, it dawned on me that I never ran my post about that same organization’s Cartier-sponsored Black & White Ball honoring Eva Longoria as “Woman of the Year” – held earlier this year, at CityCenter.

As it is, every year, this affair is one of the only events in town that affords those ladies who still know the difference, the occasion to wear a gown.  And wear them they do (in addition to scads of jewels)!

There was a VIP pre-party at Cartier’s boutique inside CRYSTALS at CityCenter, after which, guests proceeded to the main event inside ARIA.  And whoever came up with the idea of having guests valet at ARIA, and then shuttle them between the two venues – well, I don’t think it’s going too far to give you a major shout-out!

Eva was very gracious, and I was quite surprised to find out about all of the charitable organizations that she has founded and with which she works in a very hands-on fashion.

Everybody had a wonderful time, looked good, felt gorgeous, and paid homage to the dance.
