I was hopeful about how the Fashion’s Night Out festivities at Crystals at CityCenter were going to turn-out. In addition to the charity-crawl conceived by Director of Marketing, Judy Stone, there were food stations featuring restaurants from ARIA at CityCenter; and a live concert. The whole affair, with sponsors including Land Rover and the new Vegas/Rated magazine, snowballed nicely into a very fun party.
I don’t know who all made it where, but I did have a chance to say “Hi!” to Giovanni Mattera. The Director North America of de GRISOGONO USA, Inc. had flown-in from New York to attend the invitation-only event that Irene Lee was hosting on behalf of Spread the Word Nevada, at the haute couture jeweler’s boutique, on Crystals’ second floor.

Meanwhile, I was spinning my heart-out, downstairs at DIOR, which I’m delighted to say was many people’s first stop of the night. What’s more, a number of them had a great time, and stayed for a while. Hosted by Courtney & Andy Levy (having never met them before, I was delighted to find them both fun, funny, and a teensy bit wicked) and the incredible Susie Lee, the shindig at DIOR was benefiting Communities In Schools of Nevada.

I’m not sure if anyone actually bought anything, but I can say for certain that a number of the people who can afford to, were on the scene, and it was nice to see. And while people these days are leaning away from conspicuous consumption, it’s pretty amazing that I never see any of these folks wear the same thing twice. Therefore, I can only assume that they have the good taste to look and try-on during these events, then call or return in-person at a later time to make their purchase(s) in private.

Hey! As long as someone’s buying something and there’s money being pumped into the economy, then Fashion’s Night Out is a success. And I say “Bravo!” A sentiment I gladly underscore, if monies are raised for the charities involved, last Thursday.
