So, I’m sitting here, adrift, somewhere in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. No, it’s not a Castaway-type experience (I’m on a cruise – with family), but my Internet accessibility is limited, for the next week or so. But don’t worry about me, dear readers! Over the next couple of days, I’m gonna give you my take on some of the more exciting venues for you to press-up into, this New Year’s weekend.

Now, take Tryst at Wynn Las Vegas, for instance. The still super-stylish club (that sometimes gets overlooked due to its flashier younger sisters, at Encore, XS and Surrender Nightclub) has imported Grammy and MOBO Award winner Estelle, to sing for you.

The sassy songbird is known for such hit singles as “Shine” and “Wait a Minute (Just a Touch)” as well as her hit duet with Kanye West, “American Boy” – the third song to ever go platinum based on Internet downloads (the first two were “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley and “Umbrella” by Rihanna).
