If you haven’t been soaking in the Palmolive that is Downtown Las Vegas – it’s about time you plunged-in, head first. Why? Well, after a decade of Honorable Goodmans, the relocation of Zappos, and folks like Seth Schorr, Frederic Apcar, the sisters Epstein, and the WenDoh guys – the hipster mothership is officially landing, this October, in the guise of the Life Is Beautiful Festival.
A joint-production of Aurelian Marketing Group, Downtown Project, Another Planet Entertainment, and MakTub Marketing – Life Is Beautiful is a well-oiled machine, bringing together some of the biggest names in the often disparate worlds of fine dining, music, entertainment, spirits, and art; and is so doing in Downtown Las Vegas. To reiterate – this is NOT a concert on the Strip; but rather the first of what is destined to become an annual happening in a locale that is being revitalized by veritable leaps and bounds.
It is in great part, a heartfelt thank you, to a city that has brought so much success to so many.
A way for some of the world’s most renowned chefs to give back to a city that has allowed them to realize their culinary dreams.
A way for a cadre of Canadians to tip its many hats to an ever-growing metropolis that has nurtured it from a group of street performers to an entertainment juggernaut.
A way for über-bands hailing from Las Vegas to share the stage with others who have performed in Las Vegas on a regular basis; rocking-out for the people responsible for first putting them on the map – the fans and concert-goers of Las Vegas.
But instead of waxing on about it, I’m just gonna urge you to watch this video-short, filmed by Downtown Films and Silver State Production Services. The promo was produced by Chris Ramirez, directed by Ryan Curtis, and features songs by three of the festival’s headlining acts – Imagine Dragons (“The Time”), Kings of Leon (“Use Somebody”), and The Killers (“Runaways”) – mixed by Dave Fogg.
