Curious George is Back in Black!

(11/02/2009)
Black Coral, that is.  The Bernard K Passman Gallery at The Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian is presenting their newest collection of art made from rare black coral: and it’s all based on Curious George - that beloved character from the stories of Margret and H.A. Rey, who originally began charming children and parents alike in 1941.  You know…  The cute chimp who was found in Africa by the Man with the Yellow Hat.

Finally... An early event for the kids!

The Rey Center honors the legacy of Margret and H.A. Rey, children’s book author and illustrator of Curious George,Whiteblack the Penguin, and The Stars: A New Way to See Them. Temporarily housed in Waterville Valley’s Town Square, the Rey Center will soon have a new and permanent home. That new campus will include an earth and sky observatory, a visual and performing arts center, a meeting house, an outdoor theater, and a village green with access to walking and biking trails in the White Mountain National Forest. The campus will be a model for energy conservation and technologies for a sustainable future.
