Well, it’s the first week of June, and that means one thing in the wide, wide world of jewels: COUTURE (okay - two things, if you count JCK, but that’s its own ball of wax).  Held at Wynn Las Vegas, COUTURE takes over every bit of convention space at the esteemed property, as well as a number of the villas and suites.

This year, COUTURE has expanded its reach to include timepieces, and will also be featuring The Celebração – a celebration of Brazilian jewelry design. 

The list of Exhibitors reads like a Who’s Who in fine jewelry, and includes the likes of Scott Kay, Bulgari, Kwiat, David Yurman, Shamballa Jewels, NSR Nina Runsdorf, Yvel, Gurhan, H. Stern, Marco Bicego, M.C.L. by Matthew Campbell Laurenza, Pomellato, Yossi Harari, Todd Reed, and Sevan Biçakçi.

If the pre-show hype is any indication, then I’m looking forward to seeing lots of color, cuffs, and character.  Today’s consumers are clamoring to express their individuality, and I feel that the designers are ready to meet this, head-on.
