When it comes to things like the Super Bowl, I’m kind of like those guys who say they only read Playboy for the articles, in that I’m really just watching it for the commercials.  Of course, it’s also a wonderful chance to catch-up with friends who I don’t see very often, and eat a bunch of food I should be avoiding, but you know what I’m saying.

I mean, I’m not completely clueless.  I do live in Las Vegas, after all, and I know that as it regards the 45th annual Super Bowl, as of this morning, Green Bay is favored over Pittsburgh by 2 or 3 points (depending on where you make your book), and that the Packers have been the favorites in every one of their four previous Super Bowls.

And, of course, after the “Big Game” I’ll be all pressed-up into a special episode of Glee (“The Sue Sylvester Bowl Shuffle”), wherein Coach Sylvester shoots a cheerleader out of a cannon, and the kids tackle Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” (complete with zombie make-up), as well as Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” and Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” while the boys from Dalton Academy take-on “Bills, Bills, Bills” by Destiny’s Child.  At a cost of roughly $4 million, it is the most expensive episode of post-Super Bowl television (not to mention of Glee) in history.
