Palms Goes Glam this Labor Day Weekend

If you’re a fan of House music, and you should happen to find yourself in Las Vegas this Labor Day Weekend – then go immediately to Palms Casino Resort.  Do not pass GO (but feel free to collect $200 at any of the gaming tables if the casino gods are smiling upon you).

This weekend, N9NE Group, in conjunction with GO Ventures, is presenting Glamorous Las Vegas – a three-day weekend of non-stop music provided by a line-up featuring some of the world’s most renowned DJs and electronic musicians, who are gonna make you wanna boogie-oogie-oogie ‘til you just can’t boogie no more.  (You might also be inclined to raise your hands in the air, and wave ‘em like you just don’t care – but that’s your own business…)

The party starts at noon, with a special version of the weekly Ditch Fridays party at Palms Pool & Bungalows, featuring that dashing duo of the Vegas House Scene, the Captains of Industry (aka Graham Funke and StoneRokk). 

Later, at 11-ish, after a shower and dinner (I suggest joining the ever au currant scene to be seen at N9NE Steakhouse), head over to Rain Nightclub, where Z-Trip’s Revolution will be kicking-off with a special set by one of Las Vegas’ elder statesmen of turntablism, Dave Fogg, before Z-Trip himself takes over at the ones-and-twos.

After you wake the next morning (Saturday, in case you were having trouble keeping-up), head out to the Palms Pool for another fabulous party;this time featuring a quartet of DJs representing Left Coast House, including Craig Smoove, DJ DainjaZone, E-Rock, and DJ MCB.  Get your tan-on, hang in a cabana, and make sure to hydrate!  Naptime, again (trust me – you’ll need it), and before you know it, another dinner (pop-up to Nove Italiano for some Chicken Pesto Flatbread, Grilled Octopus, and Chef Geno’s fantastic Steak al Forno). 

Let your food digest as you savor some wine, and then grab the elevator down to the Casino Level, and strut over to Rain, where Paul Oakenfold will be headlining his Perfecto Vegas night, along with special guests Markus Schulz, Manufactured Superstars, Jordan Stevens, and Scotty Boy.  Oakey never fails to impress, and given the holiday, this one is guaranteed to keep the crowds moving until dawn. 

Then, it’s home again, home again, jiggety-jig; where you’d best grab some sleep lest you behave like a pig!  Rise and shine, refreshed and reborn; then return to Palms Pool this bright Sunday morn…  It’s the Glamorous Pool Party where all comers are welcome (and if you’re lucky and friendly, you're certain to get some)!  The Crystal Method comes home, the conquering heroes, for a DJ set that’s worthy of the Emperor Nero.  Joined by Gareth Emery, Reza, and that clever BT; folks will be shouting “Yo-diggety!”

It’s time for a disco nap (don’t try to be a hero), then shower and dress.  Grab some Mexican at Garduños, before heading back to Rain and Palms Pool, one last time (doors open at 9).  It’s an indoor/outdoor affair with some of the world’s best, so prepare to get your groove-on inside to the now-sounds of Benny Benassi (Italy), Eddie Halliwell (UK), John O’Callaghan (Ireland) and DJ Uppercut (Canada), and when the room heats up and you need some air, head-out to Palms Pool, where Donald Glaude will be playing his favorite jams to the delight of all, with guests Turner & Heit.

To be a part of the Glamorous Labor Day Weekend, I’d recommend opting for the “Ultimate 3-Day Pass” that not only allows you VIP Express Admission to all of the events I’ve told you about, above, but also to Ghostbar, Moon Nightclub, and Playboy Club, as well.  In addition, the pass entitles you to partake of the hosted bar provided by Ketel One Vodka and Champagne Perriet-Jouët, available at all of the venues, from 10pm – 1am (gratuity included).
