The other night I attended a fundraiser for Secretary of State Ross Miller’s re-election campaign.  Miller is the youngest Secretary of State in the US, and grew-up with a number of my friends, here in Las Vegas.  He’s a great guy, and as a matter of fact, I’m on the Host Committee for another Ross Miller fundraiser, this evening (but more on that in another post).

Monday’s event took place at Kennedy’s Tavern in The District at Green Valley Ranch and seemed to target upwardly-mobile entrepreneurial guys in their 30s and 40s.

The food was pretty darned tasty for “tavern” food (chicken and beef skewers that were plump and succulent and not over-cooked, pizza with good crust and fresh toppings, etc.), and Ross was able to press the flesh with a great group of fellas.

I really have no idea what the Secretary of State does on the state level, but I know he had a lot to do with supporting the Domestic Partnership agenda in Nevada, and he approved my business license for ShulmanSays, so he’s got my vote.  I guess tonight’s my chance to ask.
